Pitch Night – November 2012

Announcing our next Meet-Up in Scottsdale, AZ.

We are pleased to announce our next quarterly Pitch Night at our monthly meet-up.  Pitch Night will help our aspiring entrepreneurs within the Engineers Unite community to demonstrate their products and receive feedback from other Engineers Unite members.

Our primary Pitch speaker is Donald Eyermann

Pitch Night: Eyermann Design Studio

Presenter:
Donald Eyermann
Eyermann Design Studio

About our Pitch Night Speaker and their project:
Started the Eyermann Design Studio in 2000 as his post retirement 5 year plan. Actually then did not retire until 2007…right into the teeth of the Great Recession. But they have persevered and now have some big projects in the works. They manufacture components to build ultra efficient homes, commercial and civic structures. Our AICF (Asymmetrical Insulated Concrete Form) product was inspired by the research done at the US Oak Ridge National Lab. They have worked to align themselves with other energy conservation and alternative technology entities. They expect to be able to make some significant announcement relative to three other groups with whom they have signed Letters of Intent…as soon as that turns to contracts. Two of these are individuals/groups working on actually building green vocational training and OJT programs and one is in concert with a university research facility and an electric car recharging installation entity….to build a Technology Demonstrator on a campus sight. They also have the possibility of a Display Home in the greater Phoenix area…and they are still working at engaging investors to join with them in this effort.

Isha Cogborn
Epiphany Institute

About our speaker:
Isha Cogborn believes that work shouldn’t be a four-letter word. And that’s what led her to launch Epiphany Institute, a professional development company that teaches people to earn a living doing what they love. She specializes in helping people transition from traditional employment to entrepreneurship with the talents and expertise they already possess.
Before becoming an entrepreneur, Isha worked to manage the brand of the largest chemical company in the world. From trade shows in Brazil to hosting live broadcasts from the United Nations, Isha excelled professionally, but suffered from severe work-related stress and chronic illness. When she was downsized at the height of the recession in 2009, Isha ordered new business cards the very next day and began the long-awaited career of her dreams.

Through coaching, training, keynotes and media appearances, Isha inspires women and men around the world to move beyond fear, uncertainty and confusion to walk confidently in their callings. In addition to her blog, The Business of Being You at CoachIsha.com, she’s a regular contributor for several media outlets and publications and will release her first book this year.

A Michigan native, Isha moved to Phoenix in 2010 where she lives with her 17- year-old son, Deon.
